Darryl's random observations
I’ve only ever played a Paladin once, but I quite enjoyed it. I quite enjoyed helping protect other party members as usually I’m the one being protected…

They’re a fun class, sort of a fantasy setting Jedi. They get a bad rap because too many people misunderstand the concept and think they have to be played as intolerant, bigoted, etc… or just stupidly naive. They really are more like Jedi.
In terms of outright abilities in D&D, I’d argue only wizards are more powerful, and that’s only if they get a chance to fire off spells. Paladins have heavy armor, shield use, strong weapons, immunity to disease, the ability to detect evil (bad guy radar), healing touch, and the use of cleric spells. 😀

I need to update my life a bit. When I think of Paladin, I think of Richard Boone’s character on the western TV series “Have Gun, Will Travel.”

LOL, the original concept is from the 12 peers of Charlemagne. Lancelot and Galahad also supposedly.
Paladin was a sort of paladin; wise, out to protect the weak, etc… It was only that it was a paid racket for him that sort of disqualifies him from the traditional definition

Thanks for sharing back. The Old West Paladin stepped up to protect those who couldn’t help themselves. Today’s television “Equalizer” would be a modern era Paladin.

I’ll see your Equalizer (hopefully NOT the reboot) and raise you an A-Team… With Hannibal on the jazz, man!

I always enjoy your wit. It’s usually right on the mark. If I see “Howling Mad” Murdock, I will definitely let you know.

Got a kick out of my test results! I am rogue apparently. While this speculation is not entirely off, it is hard for me to detach myself from the values of the endless characters inside me and get down to earth with myself. 🤪

Mmhmmmm… *makes note to watch valuables* 😀 😀 😀
It’s OK to have your characters complain about not liking their scenes (gawd do they do that enough), but you have to draw the line at things outside their books. LOLOL.
